Support Black students as a Child and Youth Care Practitioner and Graduation Coach at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Secondary School.

This full time, school-year assignment serves the Mississauga West Family of Schools. You will deliver student supports addressing social, emotional, developmental, and self-regulation needs. The assignment emphasizes culturally responsive support, student engagement, and well-being for Black students.

Key Responsibilities:

- Mentor and advise Black students through culturally responsive support
- Identify barriers to engagement, learning, and well-being
- Facilitate academic supports and community resource referrals
- Advocate for students with staff, families, and community members




- Create safety plans and affinity spaces for participating students

Requirements:

- College Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Youth Care
- Minimum two years’ post-graduation Child and Youth Care experience preferred
- Experience supporting diverse learning needs and student groups
- Experience with de-escalation, Applied Behaviour Analysis, and trauma-informed practice
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check within six months of hire
