As a Hand Therapist, you'll help clients regain function, independence, and confidence following hand and upper extremity injuries. You'll work with a specialized caseload, including post-surgical rehabilitation, workplace and motor vehicle injuries, and complex orthopedic conditions.

As part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you'll deliver evidence-informed, patient‑centred care while supporting clients throughout their recovery.

In this role, you will:

and motor vehicle (MVA) injuries, and complex orthopedic referrals.
- Develop personalized, evidence-informed treatment plans to support mobility, strength, recovery, and functional independence.
- Design and fabricate custom splints and support casting needs as appropriate to your training and scope of practice.
- Collaborate with surgeons, physiotherapists, kinesiologists, therapy assistants, and other interdisciplinary professionals to coordinate care.
- Support clients through return-to-work and functional rehabilitation programs.
- Educate clients and their families on recovery, injury prevention, and self-management strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using modern tools, including e-charting and digital communication.
- Stay current with clinical best practices through continuous learning and professional development.
- Contribute to mentorship, leadership, and knowledge‑sharing initiatives, as assigned.

Are You the Right Fit?

- Registered Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist in good standing with the applicable provincial regulatory college.
- Interest or experience in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation.
- Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) designation is an asset, but not required.
- Experience in hand therapy, orthopedics, or rehabilitation programs is preferred.

- Strong clinical reasoning and commitment to evidence-based practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical setting.
