West Coast Reduction Ltd. seeks a Health and Safety Specialist to support WCRL Vancouver, WCRL Nanaimo, and RNL Chilliwack. The specialist advises employees and managers, interprets WorkSafeBC legislation, and coordinates staff training. The position supports regulatory compliance, corporate change, and continual safety improvement across facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Implement and improve health and safety programs across assigned facilities
- Inspect workplaces and investigate incidents, injuries, concerns, and complaints
- Coordinate Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee activities




- Deliver employee training and new hire plant orientations
- Coordinate emergency drills and guide the Emergency Response Team

Requirements:

- At least three years’ industrial or manufacturing OH&S; experience
- One-year recognized OH&S; certification or equivalent technical training
- Working knowledge of OH&S; and WorkSafeBC legislation
- Training in emergency response, hazard identification, and WorkSafeBC claims
- Solid analytical, organizational, and communication skills
