Responsibilities

• Client Advisory & Tax Planning
  
  
  
  • Lead corporate and personal tax planning engagements, including remuneration strategies, succession planning, estate planning and corporate reorganizations.
  
  
  
  


• Compliance & Reporting
  
  
  
  • Oversee preparation and review of corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns, GST/HST and payroll compliance, year‑end files and compilation financial statements (NTR/CSRS 4200).
  
  
  • Manage engagement budgets and workflow processes to ensure timely delivery.
  
  
  
  


• Leadership & Team Development
  
  
  
  • Supervise, mentor, and support development of staff accountants.
  
  
  • Review work for quality and accuracy,
    
    
    
    offering timely and constructive feedback.
  
  
  • Foster a collaborative and high‑performing team environment.
  
  
  
  


• Technical Research & Innovation
  
  
  
  • Stay informed on changes to tax legislation and accounting standards.

Requirements

• 4-7 years of progressive experience in public accounting, focusing on owner‑managed/private businesses.


• Solid technical expertise in Canadian corporate and personal tax, corporate reorganizations, estate and succession planning.


• Proven experience managing client engagements and leading teams.


• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills.


• Ability to build trusted relationships with clients and team members.
