Support coding applications in a hybrid, casual position based at Central City in Surrey, using troubleshooting and data analysis skills. Work across Lower Mainland HIM services and coding systems.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, Coding Information Systems and Projects, the Coding Application Specialist supports applications including Med2020 WinRecs, 3M Codefinder and CAC, 3M HDM, Meditech, CNN, Folio, Cerner, and the BC Perinatal Database Registry. The position partners with Coding teams, analysts, IMIT, vendors, CIHI, and the Ministry of Health. It supports business requirements, system changes, coding standards, and application projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide first-line troubleshooting, testing, documentation, and user support
- Develop application policies, procedures, standards, manuals, and learning materials
- Coordinate application changes, enhancements, upgrades,



and related projects
- Manage access, auditing, remote solutions, interfaces, reports, and data validation
- Liaise with CIHI, Ministry of Health, vendors, and stakeholders

Requirements:

- Accredited Health Information Management diploma or bachelor’s degree
- Four years’ recent related Health Record Administrator experience
- One year’s experience in data analysis, databases, and coding
- CHIMA certification and ICD-10-CA/CCI coding experience
- Valid British Columbia driver’s license and vehicle access
