Design transit electrical systems with CAD, Revit, and cost estimating expertise for WSP’s Bus, Transit & Fleet team. Support projects spanning infrastructure development.

As an Electrical Designer / Estimator, you will develop coordinated drawings, specifications, and estimates for transit, fleet, and related infrastructure. Your work will address low- and medium-voltage distribution, EV charging, solar photovoltaic integration, communications, and sustainability-driven design. Projects progress from preliminary studies through detailed engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop electrical designs through detailed engineering stages
- Prepare CAD and Revit drawings, diagrams, and layouts
- Apply distribution, control, and protection principles




- Prepare equipment specifications under Skilled Engineer supervision
- Develop AACE Class 1 through Class 5 estimates

Requirements:

- Engineering Technologist diploma, trade certification, or equivalent
- Three-plus years of electrical design and drafting experience
- Three-plus years of cost-estimating experience
- Knowledge of 600 V and medium-voltage distribution systems
- Working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
