Mental health nursing expertise meets community care in this temporary full time Vancouver Island Health Authority position. Travel between multiple sites may be required.

The Mental Health & Addiction Services Nurse works within a multidisciplinary care team. The position serves clients experiencing mental health or alcohol and drug use problems. Duties include intake, nursing and clinical assessments, intervention, treatment, consultation, and referral for clients and caregivers or families.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide intake and nursing assessments in community settings
- Complete clinical assessments for clients and caregivers
- Deliver intervention and treatment for mental health concerns
- Provide consultation and referral to appropriate services
- Work cooperatively within a multidisciplinary care team

Requirements:

- Hold practicing RN or RPN registration in British Columbia
- Have recognized psychiatric nursing or mental illness education
- Bring two years of recent related experience
- Understand mental health and alcohol and drug use issues
- Hold a valid British Columbia driver's license
