About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly qualified Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their engineering consultancy in Kimberley . This role will involve managing and executing geotechnical investigations and design projects for a variety of infrastructure and energy developments. You will lead site investigations, analyze soil and rock mechanics data, and provide expert advice on foundation design, slope stability, and earthworks. Key Responsibilities

Plan, manage, and execute geotechnical site investigations, including drilling, CPT, and in-situ testing. Perform detailed analysis of soil and rock mechanics data to assess ground conditions. Design foundations (shallow and deep), retaining walls, and other geotechnical structures. Conduct stability analyses for slopes, excavations, and embankments.



Prepare comprehensive geotechnical investigation reports and design recommendations. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff. Requirements

Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering . Proficiency with geotechnical software packages (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio). Robust knowledge of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and foundation engineering principles.
