Lead construction project accounting with advanced Excel and financial reporting skills from Bird’s Mississauga, Ontario office. Support accurate project decisions throughout delivery.

As Senior Project Accountant, you will report to the Controller and support complex construction projects. Your work will cover percentage-of-completion forecasting, work in progress, revenue recognition, backlog reporting, and International Financial Reporting Standards compliance.

You will collaborate with project teams, vendors, clients, and operational stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage project gross profit, forecasting, revenue, and backlog reporting
- Prepare consolidated financial reports under International Financial Reporting Standards
- Reconcile costs and validate vendor and consultant invoices
- Monitor collections, profitability,



claims, and financial discrepancies
- Manage period-end close, reporting, audits, and project closeout

Requirements:

- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum four years of relevant project accounting experience
- Advanced Excel, including XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, and dynamic arrays
- Proficiency with ERP systems; Vista, 4Cast Plus, or InEight valued
- Robust analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
