Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Barista role based at Panda Pancakes and Ice Cream in Burnaby, BC. The Barista will prepare hot and cold coffee beverages, assist with pancake and ice cream preparation, and ensure all items are presented according to store standards. Daily responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, processing payments, and providing courteous, efficient customer service. The role involves maintaining a clean and organized work area, restocking supplies, and following food safety and hygiene procedures.



The Barista will work closely with the team to support peak service times and uphold a friendly, professional environment.
Qualifications
Strong Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to provide a welcoming, attentive experience.
Barista experience and Food Preparation skills, including making coffee beverages and assisting with menu items.
Explicit and professional Communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift light to moderate loads, and work in a quick-paced setting.
Basic math skills and comfort handling cash, POS systems, and card payments.
Knowledge of or willingness to learn food safety and sanitation practices.
Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or retail setting is an asset but not required.
Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
