The Professional Practice Office is currently seeking a part time, temporary Nurse Educator (0.6 FTE, one-year contract) to work primarily in the Forensics Division. Reporting to the Manager of Interprofessional Practice and Education and working collaboratively with clinical program leadership, the Nurse Educator will contribute to quality client care through the education of point-of-care staff, professional practice development, and the development of high-performing interprofessional clinical teams.

The Qualified Practice Office is currently seeking a part time, temporary Nurse Educator (0.6 FTE, one-year contract) to work primarily in the Forensics Division.

Reporting to the Manager of Interprofessional Practice and Education and working collaboratively with the Clinical Program leadership team, you will play a key role in contributing to quality client care for CAMH clients.

The core functions of the role will be dedicated to education of point-of-care staff and practice development.



You will be responsible for advancing professional practice within clinical areas by contributing to the development of high-performing interprofessional clinical teams.

In collaboration with program leadership, unit managers and Advanced Practice Clinical Leads, you will be engaged in assessing and developing clinical and leadership skills of point-of-care staff. Key areas of educational focus will include scope of practice issues; interprofessional care planning; application of best practices at the point of care; as well as individual clinician and clinical team development.

You will bring your knowledge of best practices in teaching and learning for clinical staff, education development and delivery, in the care of adults with acute and complex mental illnesses and concurrent medical and/or addiction disorders.
