Job Description

The community of Wolseley, located in Southeast Saskatchewan, is seeking a team orientated and skilled family physician to join their primary health care team.

The successful candidate will work within a multi-disciplinary team providing primary health care services to the community of Wolseley and surrounding area and will work collaboratively with other medical professionals to support the acute care and emergency services in the area.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is dedicated to learning and is a partner in the educational needs of medical students, residents, nursing staff and allied health professionals.

The successful candidate will be encouraged to become involved in the academic efforts in the Department of Family Medicine in our area.

This position will remain open until filled and may be filled prior to the posted closing date.

Relocation Package

The successful candidate may be eligible for:

Job Qualifications
Certified or eligible to be certified with the College of Family Physicians of Canada
Regular or provisional license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (or eligible to be licensed)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
Recommended - Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Valid driver’s license
Successful SHA credentialing including but not limited to acceptable reference checks and criminal record check with vulnerable sector
Current Canadian Medical Protective Association coverage
Legal entitlement to work in Canada
