Lead planning and development for the Town of Drumheller, guiding complex files, land-use matters, and clear municipal processes. This permanent full time role works Monday to Friday.
Reporting to the Director of Recreation & Community Services, the Manager leads the Town’s planning and development function. The work includes policy, development activity, responsible growth, and economic development. Success requires practical leadership, responsive service, and coordination with Council, departments, developers, residents, businesses, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities: Lead planning and development services across the Town
Provide direction on land-use matters and complex files
Build clear, consistent applicant processes




Coordinate planning decisions with infrastructure and capital priorities
Guide planning and development staff professionally
Requirements: Practical leadership in planning and development matters
Ability to create clear, consistent processes
Understanding of legislative, regulatory, and municipal requirements
Ability to work with diverse stakeholders constructively
Capacity to connect decisions with implementation priorities
Bring practical planning leadership, stakeholder coordination, and process clarity to development services with the Town of Drumheller.
