Design advanced suspension dampers at Multimatic Technical Centre in Markham, Ontario, using 3D CAD, hydraulics, and product validation expertise. This full-time position is in office.
As Senior Design Engineer, you will develop new damper products and support existing Multimatic DSSV technology product lines. The work spans concept development through high-volume production, balancing performance, durability, manufacturability, and cost targets. You will collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities: Generate damper concepts meeting OEM customer requirements
Create 3D models, GD&T; drawings, and engineering documentation
Lead virtual and physical product validation studies
Support DFM, DFA, and VA/VE activities




Assemble and tune hydraulic prototypes for testing
Requirements: Mechanical or Automotive Engineering degree
Six-plus years designing automotive components
Advanced NX or CATIA modeling proficiency preferred
Expertise in hydraulics and high-volume manufacturing design
Experience with DVP&R;, DFMEA, and root cause analysis
