This Senior Software Developer contract supports a next-generation Cash Equities data platform. You will work with Core Java, Kafka, GCP, and scalable data pipelines. The platform serves as a central data store and distribution layer for trades and orders. Its capabilities support surveillance, regulatory reporting, and downstream financial processes.
Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain high-performance Java applications and services
Design event-driven architectures and real-time streaming pipelines
Develop and operate Kafka-based streaming solutions
Use BigQuery, Dataflow, GKE, and Cloud Storage




Troubleshoot production issues and improve platform reliability
Requirements: Eight to twelve years of software development experience
Solid Core Java expertise, including Java 17
Kafka and GCP cloud data engineering experience
Understanding of data structures, modelling, and transformation pipelines
Functional programming experience in Java
