Position Overview

1911 Gold Corporation is seeking an experienced Mine Superintendent to lead underground mining operations at our Bissett, Manitoba site. This is an opportunity to help shape a growing operation, establish effective operating practices, and build a team that takes pride in safe, productive work.

The Mine Superintendent will oversee day-to-day mine operations, ensuring people, equipment, and resources are aligned to achieve production targets. The successful candidate will be a visible leader who sets clear expectations, develops supervisors, and holds teams accountable for safety, operational performance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Safety and Leadership

- Lead a strong safety culture through regular field presence, coaching, and consistent follow-through
- Ensure work is planned and performed in accordance with legislation, site procedures, and established ground control requirements
- Support hazard assessments, inspections, incident investigations, and timely completion of corrective actions
- Establish explicit expectations for supervisors, employees, and contractors, and address performance concerns promptly

Mine Operations

- Direct underground mining activities, including development, productions, ground support, and material movement
- Translate mine plans into practical daily and weekly priorities, with clear targets and accountability
- Monitor production performance, identify constraints,



and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate with Technical Services, Maintenance, Mill Operations, and Safety to support reliable execution of mine plans
- Ensure effective shift handovers and communicate between crews, departments, and contractors
- Support operational readiness and the introduction of equipment, procedures and work areas as the operation ramps up

Planning and Performance

- Manage labour, equipment utilization, contractor performance, and operating costs
- Contribute to operating budgets, workforce planning, productions forecasts, and equipment requirements
- Track and repot key measures, including safety, development, production, equipment availability, and costs
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce delays, and strengthen operations practices
- Maintain accurate operations records and ensure required reports are completed on time

Qualifications

Preferred Education

- Relevant education in mining engineering, mining technology, or an equivalent combination of education and operational experience

Experience

- Experience in a start-up or ramp-up operation and a remote rotational work environment
- Progressive experience in underground mining, including significant supervisory or management responsibility

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Strong knowledge of underground mining methods, ground control, mobile equipment, and operations planning
- Experience managing production targets, budgets, contractors, and workforce requirements
- Ability to interpret mine plans and work effectively with technical and maintenance teams
- A practical leadership style with the ability to coach supervisors and build accountability across crews
- Effective communication skills (written, oral, listening)
- A high-level of organizational skills, and decision-making abilities
