This senior specialist serves as the technical leader for estimating and cost control across Preliminary Economic Assessments, Pre-Feasibility Studies, and Feasibility Studies. The permanent position supports methodologies, governance, quality, cost baselines, forecasts, and performance reporting. It integrates estimating, planning, risk management, change management, and performance management for informed investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities: Lead capital and operating cost estimates across PEA, PFS, and FS
Define estimating methodologies, standards, templates, and governance requirements
Manage budgets, commitments, forecasts, cost trends, and estimate-at-completion processes
Develop monthly cost reports,



dashboards, and performance analyses
Integrate estimating, scheduling, risk, change, and performance management
Requirements: Minimum 15 years of progressive estimating or project controls experience
Large-scale capital project experience in mining or asset-intensive industries
Experience developing AACE Class 5 through Class 3 estimates
Undergraduate degree in engineering, cost engineering, or related discipline
Expertise in forecasting, earned value, governance, and project performance
Bring technical leadership, analytical rigor, and cost control expertise to Vale Base Metals' capital studies in Toronto.
