Use FCAW, SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW at Elk Valley Resources, maintaining mining structures and equipment near Sparwood, B.C. Work full-time on a 4x4 schedule.
This site-based Welder role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and supports shop and field work across active mining, maintenance, and processing. You will troubleshoot repairs, fabricate equipment, inspect structures, and help deliver best practices. Reliable commuting to or relocating near Sparwood is necessary.
Key Responsibilities: Apply multiple welding processes to mining repairs
Troubleshoot equipment and structural maintenance requirements
Perform fabrication work in shop and field environments
Participate in health and safety programs
Work cohesively with other tradespeople on site
Requirements: Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Welder Certification
Valid driver’s license
Ability to commute to or relocate near Sparwood
Robust interpersonal and independent working skills
B Pressure welding ticket considered an asset
Support industrial mine maintenance through certified welding, fabrication, troubleshooting, and teamwork at EVR’s Elk Valley operations.
