Lead responsible AI governance and enterprise analytics for the City of North Vancouver, shaping ethical transformation and data-driven municipal services.
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, this director role guides artificial intelligence, enterprise data, analytics, and Geographic Information Systems. You will develop strategies aligned with Council’s Strategic Plan and organizational priorities. The mandate includes trustworthy governance, service modernization, organizational performance, and informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain responsible AI governance frameworks, policies, and standards
Lead enterprise AI, Data and Analytics Strategy development
Advise executives on innovation, emerging technologies, and transformation
Lead analytics, business intelligence, open data,



and GIS initiatives
Build capability through literacy, change management, and continuous improvement
Requirements: Ten or more years leading enterprise transformation or modernization
Five or more years of AI experience in advanced enterprises
Experience building team-oriented, high-performing teams
Knowledge of AI, analytics, GIS, and emerging technologies
Understanding of privacy, security, ethics, and regulatory considerations
Shape ethical AI governance, enterprise data strategy, analytics, and GIS transformation as the City’s accountable strategic leader.
