Lead mechanical design for liquid cooling at Amphenol Communications Solutions in Markham, using 3D CAD and robust product development fundamentals. This experienced role supports AI/ML and data center platforms.
As a Senior Product Development Engineer, you will own complex components and assemblies from concept through qualification and production. You will create precision designs, translate performance requirements, and collaborate with thermal, manufacturing, quality, supplier, and customer teams. Prior liquid cooling experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities: Lead concepts and detailed designs for liquid cooling assemblies
Create CAD models, drawings, GD&T;, tolerance analyses, and bills of materials
Develop designs addressing sealing, stiffness, fit, and serviceability
Support validation, prototype builds,



failure investigations, and corrective actions
Manage schedules, deliverables, risks, changes, and technical documentation
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
Seven or more years of hands-on mechanical design experience
Proficiency with 3D CAD, such as Creo or SolidWorks
Understanding of GD&T;, tolerance stack-ups, materials, and DFM/DFA
Experience troubleshooting hardware and resolving manufacturing issues
Bring mechanical design, product ownership, and customer collaboration skills to advanced liquid cooling development in Markham.
