Lead 25kV distribution planning for ATCO Electric in Grand Prairie, Alberta, using CYME and electrical design expertise. This position offers Engineer or Senior Engineer placement.
Reporting to the Supervising Engineer, you will support operational planning for ATCO Electric’s distribution grid. The work combines civil structure design, electrical design, protection coordination, system modelling, and customer project delivery. Candidates may be considered at either level based on qualifications, experience, and demonstrated technical capability.
Key Responsibilities: Plan ATCO Electric’s 25kV distribution systems operationally
Maintain distribution planning models in CYME
Complete protection reviews, fault studies, and single line diagrams




Develop business cases and protective device settings
Authenticate design team work and support reliability compliance
Requirements: Engineering degree in electrical, civil, or equivalent discipline
Professional Engineer or Skilled Licensee designation with APEGA licensure
Minimum four years of related experience
Strong civil structure and electrical design skills
Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license
