Lead construction safety through risk assessment and regulatory compliance with ONxpress Civils on the GO Expansion Program. This position is a backfill role.
The Senior Safety Advisor supports railway and civil construction projects within the ONxpress Civils Contractor General Partnership. You will assess hazards, deliver safety training, investigate incidents, and collaborate on health and safety plans. The work supports Metrolinx agreements and GO Transit network modernization.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive construction site risk assessments
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Provide safety training for workers and site managers
Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and document findings
Conduct inspections, audits, and corrective action recommendations
Requirements: Three to seven years in construction health and safety
Diploma or degree in occupational health and safety
Valid G-class driver's license
Robust knowledge of the Health and Safety Act
NCSO certification completed or in progress considered an asset
Bring construction safety, compliance, training, and investigation expertise to ONxpress Civils and GO Transit modernization projects.
