Lead transit fleet reliability and quality assurance as Assistant Maintenance Manager with West Vancouver Transit. This is a permanent, full time management role.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will oversee fleet reliability KPIs, standard operating procedures, technical failures, recruitment, and performance management. You will also act as Maintenance Manager during their absence. The position supports dependable transit maintenance through preventive and predictive programs, vehicle quality assurance, and supervisory experience.
Key Responsibilities: Monitor and control fleet reliability key performance indicators
Develop and implement standard operating procedures
Investigate and correct technical failures




Support recruitment and performance management activities
Act as Maintenance Manager during their absence
Requirements: Grade 12 and Business Administration diploma, or equivalent
Substantial supervisory experience in the transit industry
Valid Red Seal Truck and Transport Mechanic qualification
Valid Class 5 British Columbia driver's license
At least five years of relevant experience
Apply fleet reliability, technical investigation, and maintenance leadership expertise supporting West Vancouver Transit operations and quality assurance.
