As AVP, Emerging Risk Management and Strategic Risk Initiatives, you will provide second-line leadership across evolving risk priorities. The role connects enterprise strategy, governance, reporting, risk culture, and execution. You will work with Business Groups, Corporate Functions, and Risk teams to translate external developments and internal signals into practical actions. Your work will strengthen risk-informed decision-making and enterprise preparedness.
Key Responsibilities: Lead Sun Life’s Emerging Risk Management program
Develop second-line AI risk governance and oversight
Provide senior management and Board reporting




Lead enterprise risk culture development and monitoring
Test preparedness through scenarios and tabletop exercises
Requirements: More than 10 years of progressive risk management experience
Expertise within a large, complex financial institution
Experience leading enterprise-wide initiatives and senior stakeholders
Exposure to developing AI risk governance models
University degree in a related discipline
Bring strategic risk leadership, AI governance expertise, and sound judgment to Sun Life’s enterprise risk priorities.
