About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Philanthropy to lead philanthropic development across Quebec and contribute to organizational strategy and regional performance. The role combines leadership of the provincial development team with direct management of major donor and prospect relationships, from cultivation and solicitation through recognition and stewardship. Responsibilities include developing multi-year fundraising plans, building a strong donor pipeline, identifying funding opportunities, and overseeing annual planning and financial performance. The successful candidate will also engage advisory board members and volunteers, coordinate fundraising efforts across teams, and strengthen donor communications and stewardship.
Candidates should hold a university degree and have at least 10 years of fundraising experience in a bilingual environment, including demonstrated success securing major gifts of $100,000 or more. Experience managing donor relationships, developing philanthropic plans and budgets, and recruiting or supporting volunteers is required; leading a major-gifts campaign and holding a CFRE designation are assets. Full qualified fluency in French and English is essential. Strong strategic, analytical, communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and team leadership skills are also required, along with a commitment to ethical fundraising and responsible donor stewardship.
