This Synapse Engineer role supports replacing Alteryx workflows with production-quality Azure Synapse execution. You will implement pipelines, orchestration, security, and transformations using Synapse SQL, PySpark, or Data Flows. Collaboration with the onsite data modeller and conversion analyst supports accurate end-to-end workload migration.
Key Responsibilities: Build Synapse pipelines, datasets, linked services, and SQL transformations
Tune dedicated SQL pools through partitioning, indexing, and caching
Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub
Configure security, RLS,



access roles, and auditing
Monitor performance, costs, autoscaling, and troubleshooting across phases
Requirements: Five-plus years in data engineering
Three-plus years working with Azure Synapse
Solid T-SQL, ETL/ELT development, and workload optimization
Experience migrating Alteryx, SSIS, Databricks, or equivalent systems
Knowledge of Delta Lake, Parquet, partitioning, and schema evolution
Apply Azure Synapse, PySpark, T-SQL, security, and CI/CD expertise to modernize Alteryx workloads in Toronto.
