Own identity security at Alpaca with IAM and SSO expertise while working remotely across the company’s distributed Security Team.
As an IT Security Engineer, you will protect workforce identities, endpoints, and critical business systems. You will maintain security standards across MFA, privileged access, endpoint security, email protection, and secure network access. The role partners with IT, DevOps, Engineering, GRC, Security Operations, and People teams.
Key Responsibilities: Define SSO and conditional access standards across business systems
Enforce phishing-resistant MFA and privileged-access policies
Measure identity and endpoint control effectiveness
Lead identity, endpoint, and email incident response
Guide IT and employees on security requirements
Requirements: Three-plus years in IT or identity security
Hands-on identity provider, SSO, SAML, and OIDC experience
Experience enforcing FIDO2 or hardware-key MFA
Scripting experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell
Robust communication during incidents and escalations
Apply IAM, MFA, privileged access, and incident-response expertise to strengthen Alpaca’s distributed workforce security.
