About the Role Our client, a leading sports medicine and rehabilitation center in Kimberley, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Clinical Massage Therapist to join their dedicated team. This role focuses on providing specialized massage therapy interventions for athletes and individuals recovering from injuries or managing chronic pain conditions. You will work closely with physiotherapists, sports scientists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans aimed at enhancing performance, accelerating recovery, and improving functional mobility. The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of sports-related injuries, musculoskeletal anatomy, and a diverse range of therapeutic massage techniques, including deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and stretching protocols. This position requires a proactive approach to client care, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping individuals achieve their physical goals. Key Responsibilities Perform advanced clinical massage therapy techniques tailored to sports injuries, post-operative recovery, and chronic pain management.
Conduct thorough client assessments, including range of motion, postural analysis, and palpation to identify areas of dysfunction.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the rehabilitation team.
Apply techniques such as deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, PNF stretching, and sports-specific massage.
Educate clients on injury prevention strategies, home care exercises, and proper self-management techniques.
Monitor client progress throughout their rehabilitation journey, documenting changes and adjusting treatment as needed.
Maintain detailed and confidential client records, treatment notes, and progress reports.
Adhere to the highest standards of hygiene,



sanitation, and professional conduct.
Stay current with the latest advancements in sports massage, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement techniques.
Collaborate effectively with physiotherapists, doctors, and other allied health professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to client care.
Requirements A recognized qualification in Massage Therapy and current professional registration or licensing in South Africa. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Clinical Massage Therapist, with a significant focus on sports massage, injury rehabilitation, or performance enhancement.
Proven expertise in advanced therapeutic massage techniques and modalities.
Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and biomechanics, particularly related to athletic injuries.
Experience working within a multidisciplinary healthcare or sports performance environment is highly desirable.
Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and client management abilities.
A professional, empathetic, and results-driven demeanor.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently manage client caseloads.
Proficiency in using clinic management software for scheduling and record-keeping.
