NL Health Services seeks two permanent full time Fee-For-Service Hospitalist Physicians for the Eastern Rural Zone. Physicians provide solo 24-hour coverage for seven consecutive days, averaging one to two weeks monthly, with Nurse Practitioner support during weekday daytime hours. The role includes inpatient care, clinical investigations, family meetings, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Key Responsibilities: Provide solo hospitalist coverage during seven consecutive 24-hour shifts
Complete inpatient assessments, investigations, and family meetings
Collaborate with weekday Nurse Practitioner support




Liaise with specialist services across the health centre
Promote person-centered care and patient safety
Requirements: Medical Degree from a recognized institution
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Basic Life Support certification
Eligibility for Newfoundland and Labrador physician licensure
Satisfactory credentialing, privileging, criminal, and vulnerable sector checks
Ability to work within a multidisciplinary health care team
Practice hospital medicine through inpatient assessments, family meetings, specialist liaison, and multidisciplinary care at Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre.
