Support surgical services in Owen Sound as a part time Registered Nurse using patient assessment, clinical judgment, and specialized nursing skills.
Reporting to the Manager of Surgical Services, you will assess health conditions and provide care supporting optimal patient function. Brightshores requires adaptable, self-directed nurses who communicate effectively, promote health, and contribute to safe care practices.
Key Responsibilities: Promote health among surgical patients and their families
Deliver preventative, therapeutic, palliative, and rehabilitative care
Perform patient assessments and provide education
Establish IV access and administer prescribed IV medications
Contribute to patient safety and a healthy workplace
Requirements: Current BCLS and Physical Assessment course
Current surgical experience with two years within five years
Current Ontario nursing registration or eligibility
Ability to adapt to changing patient needs
Interest in continuing professional development and education
Use sound nursing judgment, surgical experience, and patient education skills to support Brightshores surgical services in Owen Sound.
