Guillevin’s GIR DEL Business Centre seeks a Machinist for regular full time work. You will produce small batches or large quantities using lathes, milling machines, grinders, and computer-controlled machinery. The work includes selecting tools, planning operations, writing basic programs, and modifying programs when problems arise.
Key Responsibilities: Operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and computer-controlled machinery
Review blueprints and specifications before machining jobs
Select tools, materials, cutting paths, and operation sequences
Monitor feed rates, speeds, lubrication, temperature,



and cut accuracy
Write and modify basic machine tool programs
Requirements: Minimum three years’ experience in a similar position
Good math skills for machining calculations
Ability to calculate cutting and boring locations
Ability to shape steel, aluminum, titanium, plastic, and silicon
Experience checking finished work against specifications
Bring precision machining, blueprint interpretation, and programming skills to Guillevin’s GIR DEL Business Centre in Edmonton.
