Lead complex regulatory investigations as a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer II with the Municipality of Clarington in Bowmanville, Ontario.
This senior enforcement assignment addresses Property Standards, Zoning, Site Alteration, business licensing, sign, and other regulatory by-laws. You will prepare Orders to Comply, manage significant enforcement files, represent the Municipality at hearings, and provide technical guidance to junior staff. The work requires detailed evidence collection, legal documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct complex investigations involving regulatory by-laws

Mentor junior enforcement staff and lead complex files
Requirements: Three to five years of progressive municipal enforcement experience
Experience investigating Property Standards, Zoning, or licensing matters
MLEOA and OAPSO certification, or ability to obtain
Advanced by-law, administrative law, and Provincial legislation knowledge
Experience preparing legal documents and hearing evidence
