Abbotsford, BC offers a casual Community Occupational Therapist prospect supporting adult clients across Fraser Health’s MHSU programs.
The regional Rehabilitation & Recovery team provides specialized occupational therapy in community programs and tertiary facilities. This role includes client assessment, service planning, treatment, consultation, education, and transition support. Casual scheduling offers advance blocks of shifts, with communities and availability parameters discussed with candidates.
Key Responsibilities: Screen occupational profiles, functional capacity, and support needs
Conduct home assessments and community visits when required
Provide written and verbal reports to relevant stakeholders
Recommend modifications to activities, environments, and supports




Participate in program planning, evaluation, and service improvement
Requirements: Full registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC
Two years’ recent experience in community mental health or substance use
Valid B.C. Class V Driver’s License and access to a vehicle
Ability to collaborate independently and within community teams
Physical ability to perform the position’s duties
Use occupational therapy expertise, assessment skills, and community collaboration to support recovery across Fraser Health’s regional services.
