Set up and troubleshoot CNC machines as a Senior CNC Machinist with Gates Corporation in Windsor, ON, working full-time on-site.
This senior-level position produces accurate components using mills, lathes, and related equipment. You will interpret drawings, select tooling, adjust offsets, inspect parts, and support program optimization. The work also includes mentoring machinists and collaborating with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve machining issues.
Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and related equipment
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and GD&T; symbols
Select tooling and perform machine offsets and adjustments
Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments
Support optimization, mentoring,



and cross-department machining issue resolution
Requirements: Strong CNC setup, operation, and basic program editing skills
Experience with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and inspection techniques
Understanding of tooling, cutting parameters, and material properties
Knowledge of safety practices and lockout/tagout procedures
Technical diploma, apprenticeship, certification, or equivalent machining experience
