Support resident dignity and independence as a Health Care Aide with Optima Living, providing daily living assistance and person-centered care. Work under nursing leadership while responding to individual needs.
Reporting to the Clinical Lead, this Health Care Aide works under a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. The position supports residents’ physical, emotional, social, spiritual, intellectual, and cultural needs. Care includes mobility, medication, nutrition, hygiene, documentation, and recreation support.
Key Responsibilities: Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
Document observations, interventions, medications, and resident changes accurately
Support care plans, nutrition, hydration, dining, and recreation
Respond promptly to call bells, requests, incidents,



and emergency codes
Maintain confidentiality, infection control, safety, and resident rights
Requirements: Complete a recognized Health Care Aide program
Maintain current registration with CLHA
Complete medication administration training and annual recertification
Communicate respectfully and collaborate within interdisciplinary teams
Pass required police, vulnerable sector, and provincial health checks
Bring compassionate resident care, accurate documentation, medication support, and protected mobility assistance to Optima Living communities.
