Improve developer experience through contract-first APIs, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and generated SDKs on Perplexity's API Platform.
As a software engineer building developer infrastructure, you will create the paved road from API concept to production. Your work will standardize service scaffolding, deployments, governance, documentation, and SDK generation. You will also operate the platform while keeping APIs ergonomic, well documented, and easy to adopt.
Key Responsibilities: Build standardized service scaffolding and container workflows
Develop CI/CD pipelines with progressive delivery and rollback
Implement contract-first schemas and breaking-change detection
Create versioning, deprecation, SDK, and documentation workflows
Unify billing,



analytics, identity, and observability capabilities
Requirements: Five-plus years of backend engineering experience
Experience owning CI/CD, containers, and infrastructure as code
Knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, and major cloud delivery
Experience with API governance and contract-first design
Robust customer empathy and product sense
Use platform engineering, API governance, and deployment expertise to make Perplexity APIs easier for developers and agents to adopt.
