The Garbage Truck Driver and Labourer provides waste and recycling collection services while supporting community improvement projects. Duties include route reading, equipment operation, material handling, grounds maintenance, site preparation, and minor repairs. The position requires safe work practices, dependable performance, and professional communication with residents, dispatchers, and supervisors.
Key Responsibilities: Operate collection vehicles along assigned waste and recycling routes
Inspect vehicles, equipment, tools, and work areas routinely
Complete route sheets, logbooks, inspections,



and required documentation
Perform construction, landscaping, cleanup, and community improvement labour
Report hazards, incidents, defects, and prohibited materials promptly
Requirements: Valid Class 3 Driver’s Licence with Air Brakes endorsement
Clean driver’s abstract and transparent criminal record check
High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
