Drive locally as a Class 1 Driver using defensive driving, route planning, and secure cargo handling skills. Communicate clearly with dispatchers, customers, and colleagues.
This Class 1 Driver position covers local transportation duties, including loading and unloading trucks and trailers. You will pick up and drop off trailers or containers, manage live loading and offloading shipments, and complete required transportation documentation. Daily inspections, regulatory compliance, and customer service remain central to the work.
Key Responsibilities: Load and unload trucks and trailers safely
Pick up and drop off trailers and containers
Complete truck logs, BOLs, PODs, and trip sheets
Conduct vehicle inspections and submit DVIR reports
Secure cargo and handle hazardous materials safely
Requirements: Class 1 driving qualification
Outstanding driving record without major violations
Proficient English speaking, listening, and writing
Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Ability to plan routes and take detours
