Build Citi’s low-latency equities trading platform with Core Java expertise and Smart Order Router development in a full time Vice President role.
As a Vice President Java Developer, you will design, develop, and optimize the Smart Order Router within Citi’s Equities Electronic Trading team. The work spans high-performance microservices, routing logic, venue analysis, and distributed systems. You will collaborate with product development, quantitative researchers, and technology teams to deliver trading capabilities.
Key Responsibilities: Design and optimize low-latency Java microservices
Enhance routing logic and venue analysis models
Lead technical design discussions and code reviews
Build monitoring, reconciliation, and recovery solutions




Improve testing, deployment, and development processes
Requirements: Expert Core Java, JVM internals, concurrency, and memory management
Experience developing high-performance, low-latency systems
Smart Order Router or automated trading systems experience preferred
Knowledge of FIX and order and market datasets
Bachelor’s degree or university degree
Apply Java, microservices, and electronic trading expertise to advance Citi’s Smart Order Router and equities technology platform.
