This regular full-time position sits within CLIC’s Underwriting department and operates in English. You will assess group composition and establish premium rates, expenses, commissions, and policy provisions for pooled financial arrangements. The work supports profitable group insurance and strong service for clients, sales, internal departments, and peers.
Key Responsibilities: Calculate renewal rates using manual and experience rating methods
Analyze claims, demographics, trends, legislation, guidelines, and pricing strategies
Prepare competitive new business quotes for assigned portfolios




Validate rates against experience, plan design, industry, and demographics
Resolve underwriting issues for sales, clients, and internal teams
Requirements: Post-secondary education with two years of related experience
Working toward a CEBS or LOMA designation
Thorough knowledge of group insurance products and pricing
Critical thinking and proactive problem-solving skills
Robust communication and effective teamwork abilities
Apply group insurance pricing, risk analysis, and sound judgement as a hybrid CLIC Group Underwriter supporting profitable portfolios.
