AgeCare seeks a Registered Practical Nurse with geriatric nursing knowledge to coordinate resident care and guide Personal Support Workers.
As a Registered Practical Nurse, you provide professional nursing care within AgeCare’s residence and unit procedures. You collaborate with Registered Nurses, physicians, and health care partners to address resident needs. The position emphasizes resident status communication, shift reporting, and knowledge of legislation governing nursing homes and nursing departments.
Key Responsibilities: Implement AgeCare policies and procedures with Registered Nurses
Provide direction to Personal Support Workers
Coordinate care with the health care team
Communicate significant resident changes to physicians




Contribute input to procedure revisions
Requirements: Sound background in geriatric or long-term care nursing
Knowledge of rehabilitation nursing and activation
Understanding of pertinent federal, provincial, and municipal statutes
Current Ontario nursing Certificate of Competence
Good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Support AgeCare residents through qualified nursing care, physician liaison, shift communication, and Personal Support Worker direction.
