The Mechanic maintains assigned equipment and supports production efficiencies during breakdown situations. The work includes preventive maintenance, mechanical and electrical installations, vendor coordination, and staff training. Food industry or high-speed packaging experience is valued, while PLC training and experience are an asset.
Key Responsibilities: Carry out preventative maintenance on assigned plant equipment
Troubleshoot and repair equipment during breakdown situations
Coordinate mechanical and electrical installation activities




Work with trades groups and vendors on projects
Maintain required HACCP and maintenance documents
Requirements: Certified Journeyman qualification
Excellent mechanical and analytical troubleshooting skills
Food industry or high-speed packaging experience
Ability to work independently and within interdependent teams
Ability to work in confined spaces and perform heavy lifting
Use mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment repair expertise to support Saputo production and packaging operations.
