As a Verification Assurance Officer, you will strengthen frontline controls across selected Jobcentre and Service Centre locations. Government Recruitment Service needs an effective communicator to examine concerns involving identification, housing costs, children, and childcare costs. You will help reduce customer debt, prevent intentional fraud, and improve customer understanding of responsibilities and non-compliance consequences.
Key Responsibilities: Interview claimants about evidence supporting Universal Credit claims
Examine suspected document validity during verification activities
Conduct agreed evidence review meetings with customers




Lead customer education sessions with Jobcentre colleagues
Provide practical fraud awareness support to colleagues
Requirements: Excellent communication skills for robust claimant interviews
Ability to work onsite at a Jobcentre
Ability to collaborate with Jobcentre and Service Centre teams
Willingness to support fraud detection and prevention
Willingness to travel between sites as needed
Use explicit communication and evidence-based verification to support customers, colleagues, and stronger Universal Credit fraud controls.
