Teach Grade 1 French Immersion with the York Region District School Board, using French qualifications to support student success. This LTO may extend longer in the school year.
This Elementary Long Term Occasional teaching assignment is based in the North CEC. Candidates must meet the Board's French Immersion language standard and hold French qualifications. Successful candidates support learners in public education while demonstrating teaching practice through the application and selection process. The assignment follows the ETFO Elementary Teacher Collective Agreement. Salary is prorated based on FTE, QECO rating, and years of experience.
Key Responsibilities: Teach Grade 1 students in a French Immersion setting
Support student success through effective elementary teaching practice
Provide teaching references as required during application screening
Participate in the selection process when contacted
Requirements: French qualifications and French Immersion language standard
Ontario College of Teachers qualification or qualification process underway
French as a Second Language qualification or equivalent
Satisfactory police record check before employment
