Protect The Forks community in Winnipeg through patrols, incident response, and calm communication across days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
This full-time permanent Security Officer reports to the Community Safety Supervisor at The Forks. The role supports employees, tenants, contractors, and visitors through security assistance, inspections, alarm response, and accurate reporting. It also requires collaboration with community organizations, emergency services, and adjacent stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: Build trust with employees, tenants, contractors, and visitors
Conduct patrols and inspect physical safety hazards
Monitor alarms, respond to incidents, and report issues
Maintain accurate records and incident reports




Provide guidance and excellent customer service to visitors
Requirements: Valid Manitoba Security Guard License maintained during employment
Intermediate First Aid and Smart Choices certification
Manitoba Occupational Health and Safety accreditation
Solid communication, listening, and conflict de escalation skills
Ability to work outdoors and lift, push, or pull 50 pounds
Bring situational awareness, problem solving, and community-focused service to security operations at Winnipeg’s inclusive The Forks site.
