Support EMS readiness in Grande Prairie with vehicle equipment inspection, fleet coordination, and medical supply management for Emergency Health Services.
As a VESST I, you will maintain ambulances, equipment, and supplies according to inventory standards and regulations. The work combines logistics coordination, mechanical aptitude, computer literacy, and stakeholder engagement across Alberta. You will support operational leaders, approved vendors, and emergency preparedness activities while helping keep resources deployment-ready. The position includes travel as required and may involve direct patient contact, patient care, and disaster response.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinate vehicle movement to and from approved vendors
Inspect and repair power cots, power loads, and suction units
Clean, equip, and supply spare vehicles




Prioritize and schedule vehicle and equipment inspections
Support patient care and large-scale incident response
Requirements: Non-restricted Alberta College of Paramedics registration in valuable standing
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
Valid or obtainable Class 4 Alberta Operator’s Licence
Five-year driver’s abstract with no more than six demerits
Ability to lift and carry up to 105 pounds frequently
