This Senior Commercial Underwriter supports UW Corporate Accounts through application review, risk evaluation, and coverage extension. You will use diverse resources and expertise to analyze business, create rating worksheets, and review manuscript wording. The position also includes coaching colleagues, building trusting relationships, and seeking learning opportunities. Candidates need five to seven years of experience in Commercial Underwriting, Reinsurance, or Specialty Lines, plus advanced underwriting knowledge.
Key Responsibilities: Assess new and existing business for risk and loss exposure
Create rating worksheets and manuscript wording with partners




Refer accounts to appropriate authority levels as needed
Coach, develop, and guide team members
Build mutually beneficial client and stakeholder relationships
Requirements: Five to seven years of commercial or specialty underwriting experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Innovative mindset focused on operational efficiency
Ability to influence change and prioritize client needs
Policy Center, Guidewire, CIP, or CRM experience is an asset
Use commercial insurance expertise, sound judgment, and cooperative leadership to deliver aligned coverage decisions within CGIC.
