Help establish accounting operations for a current 272-room Hilton Garden Inn in Vaughan through accounts payable and hotel finance support.
This pre-opening position combines invoice processing, cash control, inventory costing, and revenue review. You will prepare approved invoice entries, accrue expenses, complete tax reconciliations, and maintain accurate ledgers. The role reports deviations, supports operational inventories, and performs assigned accounting duties.
Key Responsibilities: Process approved invoices through hotel accounting software
Prepare accruals and journal entries for month-end reporting
Reconcile HST, MAT, and other applicable taxes
Cost inventories using current market values
Review ledgers and report procedural deviations
Requirements: College or university education
Three years of related experience
Hotel experience is an asset
Strong communication and attention to detail
Great Plains Dynamics or NetSuite preferred
