Support resident treatment programs as a Physiotherapy Assistant in Thornbury, Ontario, using exercise leadership and safe mobility assistance. This position provides 35 hours weekly.
Working under direct or indirect Physiotherapist supervision, you will support residents in long term care. The work includes group and one-on-one exercises, treatment documentation, and resident transfers. You will monitor health changes and report them appropriately.
Key Responsibilities: Assist with group exercises for long term care residents
Lead assigned residents through one-on-one exercises
Document treatments and progress after therapy sessions
Assist with walking, sitting, and safe transfers
Report resident health changes to supervisors
Requirements: Physiotherapy Assistant graduate or equivalent
Excellent multitasking skills under pressure
Robust communication with elderly residents and teammates
Current Vulnerable Sector police check
Valid TB test or chest X-ray
