Resale & Value Recovery Specialist
505 Ventures | Richmond, BC
The Position:
As a Resale & Value Recovery Specialist at 505 Ventures, you will identify, evaluate, and recover valuable merchandise from donation collections, estate cleanouts, and junk removal jobs. This full time role combines hands‑on sorting, on‑site assessments, staff training, online resale, and specialty buyer order preparation, with regular contact with customers, buyers, and partners.
You will help maximize the financial and environmental value of recovered goods, including vintage and antique items, collectibles, designer goods, clothing, furniture, tools, electronics, and artwork. Because you will often work in customers' homes and businesses and answer questions from online buyers, delivering a professional, courteous customer experience is a core part of the role.
How we’re different:
Transparent metrics: Our company was built on integrity. We lead the way by disrupting the status quo of our industry with scalable waste and recycling diversion tracking.
Recycling and donating: Our mandate is to recycle and donate as much material as possible. This role makes sure the valuable stuff doesn’t slip through.
Growth-focused: We’ve been named one of the fastest-growing companies in Canada by the Globe & Mail, Richmond Chamber of Commerce “Outstanding Service” 2025 award winner, and Delta Chamber of Commerce “Business Impact of the Year” 2026 award winner, to name a few.
Our Resale & Value Recovery Specialists love that:
They never know what the next exciting find will be
They split their time between the warehouse and job sites across Metro Vancouver
They turn items headed for the landfill into real revenue
They teach our crews what to look for, and see the results
They work full‑time and receive dental, vision,
and medical benefits
If this is you...
Experience in secondhand retail, resale, vintage, antiques, or collectibles
You can spot value across lots of categories, not just clothing
You know your way around online resale platforms and market pricing
Calm, kind, and tactful with customers, including families going through an estate cleanout or a recent loss
Organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable making calls on your own
Able to safely lift 50 lbs and happy working in a warehouse and on job sites
Valid Class 5 BC driver’s licence (preferred)
Then we want to meet you. Here’s what you can expect:
